4 Month Clinical Training Program OT610

Pediatric Therapy Network is proud of its decade long partnership with the University of Southern California, Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. Through its sensory integration clinical training, therapists from across the nation and 30 other countries have participated in this unique learning experience. Using the effective format pioneer Dr. Jean Ayres established, therapists spend two mornings in a small group seminar with a USC faculty member to hear lectures and participate in discussions on sensory integration theory and intervention.

To gain a hands-on understanding of the concepts learned in the classroom, therapists are also immersed in 15 to 20 hours per week in supervised clinical practice. Children who receive therapy with the therapists participating in this program benefit from having their intervention carefully analyzed in light of the most recent research findings. Master clinicians serve as supervisors and are also available to work with children and families when the therapists change from one group to the next.

Not only has this unique training experience created a diverse dialogue about best practices but it has also created the opportunity for children in our community and around the globe to benefit from high-quality therapeutic services.
